Economic conference scheduled

Citizens Business Bank will present its sixth annual Inland Empire Economic Forecast Conference Sept. 24 at Citizens Business Bank  Arena.

The conference, which is scheduled to be held from 7 a.m. to 10:15 a.m., will be hosted by the Inland Empire Center for Economics and Public Policy at Claremont McKenna College, according to a statement.

The center is a joint venture between the Lowe Institute of Political Economy and the Rose Institute of State and Local Government, both at Claremont McKenna, and the UCLA Anderson Forecast.

Melissa Francis, an anchor and host with Fox Business Network and Fox News Channel, will be the featured speaker. Francis comments regularly on financial, economic and political issues on The O’Reilly FactorThe FiveOutnumbered, and The Kelly File.

“We are excited to have Melissa Francis as our featured speaker,” said Christopher D. Myers, president and chief executive officer of Citizens Business Bank, in the statement. “Melissa’s perspective on the economic changes in China and the recent volatility in [the] global stock markets should be of great interest to our clients and friends.”

Jerry Nicklesburg, senior economist with the UCLA Anderson Forecast, will present the national and California forecast. Marc D. Weidenmier, the Robert J. Lowe Professor of Economics at Claremont McKenna, will deliver the Inland Empire forecast.
