Fast-food building sells for $2.3 million

A freestanding building in Fontana that is home to a Jack in the Box restaurant has been sold.

The structure, at 17020 S. Highland Ave., sold for $2.3 million, according to a statement released by Hanley Investment Group.

Hanley Investment represented the seller, Adler Realty Investments in Woodland Hills, the project’s developer.

The buyer, whose name was not released, was a private investor represented by Marcus & Millichap.

The building sits on half an acre at the entrance to Highland Village, a recently completed shopping center.

That project, which is next to the Foothill Freeway at Sierra Avenue, is anchored by a Sprouts Farmers Market and includes Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, Burgerim, Jersey Mike’s, Oggi’s Restaurant and Mountain View Tires.

Nearly 120,000 vehicles exit at Sierra Avenue on a typical day, according to the statement.

Highland Village is across the street from the Fontana Promenade, site of a future Walmart super center.
