Free rides for veterans on Veterans Day

Omnitrans will offer free rides to veterans of the U.S. military on Veterans Day, which will he observed Monday.

Any veteran of any military may board with a valid veteran identification card, which indicates retired status, according to a statement on the transit agency’s website.

The offer is available on any Omnitrans bus: sbX, Freeway Express, OmniGo community shuttles, and our local buses. Acceptable forms of identification include those issued by the U.S. Departments of Defense or Veterans Affairs, San Bernardino County Veterans Affairs and the California Department of Motor Vehicles.

Veterans already receive discounts from Omnitrans the year round.

Omnitrans is the largest transit agency in San Bernardino County, covering 15 cities and providing more than 10 million passenger trips every year in the the San Bernardino Valley, according to the agency’s website.
