High Desert retail properties sold

Progressive Real Estate Partners in Rancho Cucamonga has announced the sale of two parcels at the Mall of Victor Valley.

The first property, at 14390 Bear Valley Road, is occupied by an 8,000-square-foot Big 5 Sporting Goods store, according to a statement posted on Progressive’s website.

That site sold for $1.5 million to a Southern California-based private investor whose name was not released.

The second parcel, at 14350 Bear Valley Road, is the site of a 14,120-square-foot retail building. That property was purchased for $2.6 million by a partnership formed by Alan Gottlieb, president of Real Estate Affiliates Inc. in Calabasas.

The seller was a Los Angeles investor whose name was not released.

Sit ’n Sleep recently opened a 9,200-square-foot square foot store in that building, in space  that was formerly occupied by David’s Bridal.

“We are thrilled that Sit ’n Sleep has opened a store at this location,” Progressive President Brad Umansky said in the statement. “It’s the perfect retailer for this site.”

Located in Victorville, the Mall of Victor Valley is the premiere regional shopping mall in the High Desert. Its anchor tenants are JCPenney, Sears, Macy’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Cinemark, a 16-screen theater.
