Inland Empire Company Hires Chief Executive

Polymer Logistics, which manufactures reusable plastic containers that look like wood, has a new chief executive officer of its North American operation.

He will answer to Gideon Feiner, Polymer Logistics’ chief executive officer.

“In the last two years, Polymer Logistics has introduced the wood grain [reusable plastic container] and expanded into new categories,” Heptinstall said in the statement. “It’s a very exciting time to join the company.”

The wood grain containers Heptinstall referenced are now being used by Walmart in some of its stores to give the fruit and vegetable section a more natural look. Polymer Logistics also makes makes dollies and pallets that can be used repeatedly and stackable crates.

Heptinstall has been active in several professional organizations, and The Packer, a publication that covers the produce industry, named him one of the 25 most influential people in that industry in 2014, according to the statement.
