Inland Empire Medical Center Recognized

For the second consecutive year, Loma Linda University Medical Center-Murrieta has been named one of the “Most Wired” hospitals in the United States by Hospital and Health Care Magazine.

The list was published in the magazine’s July edition, according to a statement released by the medical center.

Besides measuring the level of IT adoption at hospitals and health care systems throughout the United States, the list is meant to help those facilities determine and improve their long term IT strategic plans.

Health Forum, an affiliate of the American Hospital Association, is responsible for the collection and analysis of the data used to compile the list. To be considered one of the Most Wired facilities, a health care facility must go through a screening process that includes an 18-page questionnaire.

The 2016 list includes hospitals and other health care operations that are making a stronger effort “to stop hackers, and also are working to boost their capabilities in [health care],” according to the statement.
