McNie steps down in Menifee

Colin McNie has stepped down as Menifee’s building official and code enforcement director.

A Menifee employee since 2012, McNie has been a driving force behind several critical project’s, including moving into a new city hall, upgrading the police department in the original city hall and leading the city’s code enforcement and building and safety departments, according to a statement on the city’s website.

“Colin has been such a valuable asset for the City of Menifee since I began and long before that,” City Manager Armando Villa said in the statement.

“It’s difficult to give him a proper job title because he has been a driving force behind so much of our success in the City. He has set an indelible mark here with his relentless work ethic, myriad skills and leadership.”

McNie worked for Hemet before joining Menifee. He officially retired at the end of 2019.
