Most SB County residents like where they live

A majority of San Bernardino County residents believe the county is a “very good” place to live, according to a report released Thursday.

Most residents also believe the county’s economy has improved during the past year, although confidence in local elected officials slipped slightly during that time and crime continues to be a major concern, the 2018 Inland Empire Annual Survey found.

The report is compiled by the Institute of Applied Research and Policy Analysis at Cal State San Bernardino, the same entity that produces the monthly purchasing managers index, which measures manufacturing in the Inland Empire.

The annual report analyzes public opinion regarding a number of factors, including quality of life, the economy, crime, transportation, ability to commute and confidence in elected officials and public services.
