Omnitrans announces mobility app

Omnitrans, San Bernardino County’s largest transit agency, has announced that Transit will be its official mobility app.

The app, which displays arrival and departure times in large text and bright colors, has millions of users in more than 200 cities worldwide, according to a statement.

Transit users will be able to navigate the San Bernardino Valley with real-time arrival times, trip planning, and step-by-step navigation. Uber or Lyft can also be summoned with Transit.

“Transit delivers what our customers want: easy trip planning and real-time bus tracking in a single app,” said P. Scott Graham, Omnitrans’ chief executive officer and general manager, in the statement. “Endorsement comes at no cost to the agency but provides a great benefit to our riders.”

Transit also offers real-time tracking and trip planning for dozens of additional agencies in Southern California, including Metro, LADOT, Metrolink, Big Blue Bus and Riverside Transit Agency.
