Palm Springs conducting online general plan survey

Palm Springs residents are being asked to go online and help update the city’s general plan.

Residents may take a survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/9MFBK95, according to a statement on the city’s website.

A Spanish language survey is also available at https://es.surveymonkey.com/r/2SZCTWY. All surveys are to be completed by 6 p.m. March 13.

“This is the first step in updating the city’s General Plan, the primary document we use to guide where and how people live, work, play, and learn in Palm Springs,” according to Flinn Fagg, director of planning services. “Community input is desired and welcome, and we encourage anyone with an interest in the city’s future design to take the survey.”

Survey results will be used by staff and the general plan steering committee to help make their recommendations to the city council.

The city has held several public meetings regarding the general plan update. Palm Springs’ general plan was last updated in 2007.
