Pechanga tribe to expand RV park

Pechanga Resort & Casino is enlarging its 168-space recreational vehicle park.

The Native American tribe near Temecula will add 41 luxury spaces to the park, which is fully occupied, according to a statement on the tribe’s website.

The project, which coincides with the $285 million expansion of the Pechanga Resort & Casino, will include more outdoor recreation facilities, pool amenities and faster and more personal check-in service.

The new spaces will include:

  • Two “Chairman” sites of 2,400 square feet each, which will have large patios, pergolas, and a personal barbecue
  • Nine “Presidential” sites, which will cover 1,000 square feet each and include patios, pergolas, a table and barbecues
  • 22 “Buddy” sites, which will allow two recreational vehicles to pull into a site from opposite sides. In between will be an oversized patio, pergola and two tables
  • Eight “Premium” sites, which will have an expanded patio, picnic table and benches

Rates will start at $50 a night. Guests will receive free wireless internet and complimentary utility and cable television hook-up. Free shuttle to and from Pechanga Resort & Casino and Journey at Pechanga Golf Course will also be provided.

Cost of the improvements was not released.

The resort and recreational vehicle park are owned and operated by the Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians. Expansion of the recreational vehicle park is expected to be completed this December, according to the statement.
