Retirement community to open

A luxury retirement community is scheduled to open this summer Crossroads in Upland.

Oakmont of San Antonio Heights is scheduled to open in July at Euclid Avenue and 24th Street, according to a statement by Oakmont Senior Living, the project’s developer.

In April, more than 300 people toured the 75,000-square-foot facility at Euclid Avenue and 24th Street during a special preview of the facility.

When completed, the facility will offer assisted living and memory-care services for people with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. It will accommodate 56 assisted-living and 23 memory-care apartments, according to Oakmont Senior Living.

The retirement community, which is near San Antonio Community Hospital and the Colonies Crossroads Shopping Center, is now 60 percent reserved and is taking reservations daily.

Oakmont Senior Living is based in Santa Rosa. It develops resort-style senior communities that focus on customer service. For more information visit www.oakmontseniorliving.com.
