Scheel named GM of Glen Ivy Hot Springs

Christopher Scheel has been name general manager of Glen Ivy Hot Springs, the popular wellness destination in Corona.

Scheel has more than 28 years experience in hospitality, food and beverage and spa and hotel management, having worked for national hotel and restaurant chains for 28 years, according to a statement.

“Christopher’s passion for providing state of the art guest experiences is inspiring,” said Ingo Schweder, founder and chief executive officer of GOCO Hospitality, the owner and operator of Glen Ivy Hot Springs. “We are thrilled to welcome such a dedicated and talented leader who understands the importance of preserving Glen Ivy’s rich legacy.”

Scheel started his career as a bartender and worked his way to upper management. He was general manager of Sundara Inn & Spa in Wisconsin, where he oversaw a $20 million expansion.

Most recently, Scheel was chief operating executive of Heart of America Group in Wisconsin where he was in charge of the building and opening of a Hilton Garden Inn and Steakhouse with more than 10,000 square feet of meeting space, according to the statement.
