Tune in to The Main Event this Saturday Morning at 9:30 on AM590

Tune in to The Main Event this Saturday morning at 9:30 on AM590 with host Ed Hoffman as he discusses national current events and politics, with a few mortgage tips along the way. Ed delivers intelligent, entertaining radio that makes hard news easy to understand!

This week, Ed starts the show by thanking our men and women who serve on this Memorial Day weekend, and thanking those who came to last week’s Pushups for Charity event. “Our total is about $75,000 that we’ve raised,” Ed says. “If you haven’t given yet, you can still donate at WCCcharities.org.” All the funds go directly to helping wounded vets at the Boot Campaign.

Next it’s on to discussing the week in politics, beginning with Hillary Clinton’s war on Trump. Clinton has the Democrat party’s nomination nearly locked down (although a contested convention could happen at the DNC if Bernie Sanders gets his way), but it’s Trump who officially secured his party’s nomination this week by reaching 1,238 delegates on Thursday. So now, Hillary knows it’s her against Trump and the gloves are off as she wages a no holds barred campaign to defeat Trump.

On Meet the Press Sunday, Chuck Todd pointed out that Hillary and Trump are almost 50/50 in the national polls, as the Real Clear Politics average shows Hillary at 43.8% and Trump at 42.8%. “What have we been hearing all these months?” Ed says. “That Trump can’t beat Hillary – but it looks like that isn’t true now.” Next, we hear Hillary saying polls are meaningless and Trump isn’t a “normal” candidate. “Well this isn’t a ‘normal’ time,” Ed says. “We’re seeing the country go over a cliff, so we don’t need a ‘normal’ candidate right now.” Along with this, he reminds listeners that when Hillary Clinton’s mouth is moving, she’s lying. When Hillary told Chuck Todd that Republicans are telling her they’re going to vote for her over Trump, Ed says, “Can you say BS?”

Next Ed addresses Hillary’s newest tactic: blaming Trump for the housing market crash.” “Nice try,” Ed says. “If you want to know what really caused that, google “2005 Senate Banking Committee” and “sub-prime loans” and watch the movie ‘The Big Short.’ The government had a huge role in the crash.” Ed then provides insight that only a mortgage finance expert can provide, and you need to hear it on this week’s show! This leads to a discussion on Hillary propping up her husband’s economic policies in the 90s, which Ed has thoughts on as well.

In the second half, we’re still talking about Bill Clinton and how Trump has made the former President’s past misdeeds fair game against Hillary. It started last week, when a New York Times hit piece on Trump was challenged by many of the women who were featured in it – but the story continues into this week, with Trump addressing in his rallies Bill Clinton’s abuse of women. On that note, Ed has an anecdote that someone has told her about Hillary Clinton; tune in to this week’s show to hear it.

The second half of the show also has Ed outraged at the animalistic behavior of the protestors who vandalized police cars, tortured horses, set fires and threw giant rocks at Trump’s rallies in Albuquerque and Anaheim this week, all while waving the Mexican flag. If you were disgusted by what went down and you can’t believe the morons on MSNBC defended it, listen to this week’s show to hear someone who agrees with your point of view.

On this week’s show, you’ll also hear Ed say:

  • “People who were three years old on 9/11 get to vote now.” Wow!
  • “She’s standing up for women’s rights? She didn’t back then!” Guess who he’s talking about?
  • Who he’s voting for in the Senate race – Tom Del Beccaro!
