United Airlines adds Houston to OIA lineup

United Airlines will begin offering daily round trip service next year between Ontario International Airport and Houston.

Starting June 6, United will begin operating a 9:30 p.m. [Central time] flight from George Bush International Airport, followed by a 11:59 p.m. [Pacific time] return flight, according to a statement released by the Ontario International Airport Authority.

Tickets for the flights are on sale.

The aircraft, an Embraer E-175 aircraft operated by United Express, will have 76 seats: 12 in first class, 16 in economy-plus and 48 in economy.

United last operated between Ontario International and Houston in June 2016. It currently serves San Francisco and Denver from Ontario International, and it’s the fifth airline in recent months to begin, or announce, new flights out of the airport.

Houston will be the 21st city that can be reached via a non-stop flight from Ontario International, according to the statement.
