Urgent care center opens

One of the Inland Empire’s oldest medical groups has opened an urgent care center in Beaumont.

Beaver Medical Group’s facility at the Sundance Corporate Center, 839 N. Highland Springs Ave., has digital x-ray machines and onsite phlebotomy services, according to a statement.

The company, which plans to hire more physicians, recently moved its urgent care center and orthopedics department from Loma Linda University Health Center in Beaumont to Sundance Corporate Center. Its cardiology and pulmonology departments are scheduled to move from their Banning office Monday.

Beaver Medical Group’s offices on Ramsey Street in Banning and its primary care suite in the Beaumont Loma Linda University building, will remain open.

“For 75 years Beaver Medical Group has been committed to providing quality healthcare to our patients,” said John Goodman, Beaver Medical’s administrator, in the statement. “Beaver Medical has unique insight into the care and services the communities need.”

Beaver Medical started in Redlands in 1945. It has more than 80 doctors serving 40,000 patients in the Banning-Beaumont area, according to the statement.
