Vaccine clinic opens at outlet mall

A new vaccine clinic opened this week at the Outlets at Lake Elsinore.

The clinic, operated by Curative, replaces a drive-up clinic at the Lake Elsinore Diamond Stadium operated by the Riverside County Public Health Department, according to a statement on the department’s website.

“We are so thankful to the city of Lake Elsinore and support staff for the use of the stadium for both COVID-19 testing and vaccinations,” said Kim Saruwatari, director of Public Health, in the statement. “They have been a great community partner.”

One reason for the move is the stadium is the home of the Lake Elsinore Storm, a minor league affiliate of the San Diego Padres. The 2021 season is scheduled to begin next week.

The outlet mall site is at 17600 Collier Ave., Suite H177, Lake Elsinore.

More than 1.5 million vaccine doses have been administered to Riverside County residents at county and community partner-run clinics, according to the statement.
