Walmart Awards Riverside Company

A Riverside company has been recognized by Walmart for its reusable plastic containers the retailer uses in its stores.

Polymer Logistics was declared an “Innovative Partner” recently by the global retailer for the containers, which have the appearance of wood grain, according to a statement released Wednesday.

The containers, which are used in the produce departments at Walmart supercenters, give the appearance of a farmers market, something Walmart is trying to cultivate in its stores.

“The team at Polymer is honored to share this recognition by Walmart,” said Gideon Feiner, the comany’s chief executive officer, in the statement. “We are proud to be part of Walmart’s initiative to build produce departments with the highest quality product in our wood grain [reusable plastic containers].

Polymer Logistics makes transport, storage and display bins, including collapsable bins, stackable crates and reusable dollies and pallets. Its products are environmentally friendly and are designed to last for years, according to the statement.
