Murray named CSUSB’s top faculty advisor

Jeremy Murray has been named Cal State San Bernardino’s outstanding faculty advisor for the 2020-2021 academic year.

An associate professor of history, Murray was recognized for “his passion, commitment and dedication to student success and providing career and life guidances,” university president Tomas D. Morales saiid in a statement.

The Outstanding Faculty Advising Award is presented every year to a faculty member who is chosen by a committee coordinated by the Office of Academic Success and Undergraduate Advising.

The award includes one year’s membership in the National Academic Advisors Association, which is covered by the Cal State San Bernardino’s Office of Undergraduate Studies. Murray is also eligible for national recognition by the National Academic Advising Association.

“This is an absolute pleasure and a real honor so thank you all very much,” Murray said in the statement.
