Dean Rose set to retire July 31

Lawrence Rose, dean of the Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration at Cal State San Bernardino, has announced his retirement.

Rose will step down July 31, ending a 36-year career in public education, according to a statement on the university’s website.

“I have been so fortunate to end my 36 years in higher education amongst countless colleagues and mentors with the innate ability to turn ideas into success,” said Rose in statement published on the business school’s blog. “I have valued their guidance, inspiration and collaboration.”

Shanthi Srinivas, who has served  in various administrative and faculty positions at Cal Poly Pomona for three decades, will be interim dean for one year.

Rose spent the last 10 years of his career at Cal State San Bernardino. University officials will begin a national search this fall to find his replacement, according to the website statement.
