Inland Center Mall lands major clothier

H&M, the international clothing company, is coming to the Inland Center Mail in San Bernardino.

The Swedish retailer – formal name Hennes & Mauritz Inc. – will open a 20,000-square-foot store in the mall’s JCPenney wing, said Terri Relf, Inland Center’s senior marketing manager.

The store is scheduled to open Sept. 6 near the center of the mall. It will replace three stores, all clothing retailers, that are relocating within Inland Center: Charlotte Russe, Tillys and Torrid.

“It’s a good-sized store and it’s going to add a lot to our tenant mix,” Relf said. “They sell clothing for men, women and children. It’s almost like adding another anchor store.”

The Inland Center store will be H&M’s 79th store in California, according to a statement.
