Stater Bros.to debut in Pasadena

Stater Bros. Markets will open its first Pasadena store Wednesday.

A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled to be held at 8 a.m., immediately after which the store will open for business, according to a statement.

Located at 1390 N. Allen Ave., the 42,000-square-foot market will be Stater Bros.’ 26th in Los Angeles County and 14th in the San Gabriel Valley.

Christy Gragg, a Stater Bros. employee for more than 28 years, will manage the store.

“We are excited to expand our presence in the San Gabriel Valley,” said Pete Van Helden, Stater Bros. chief executive officer, in the statement. “Customers can look forward to an exceptional shopping experience.”

Also, Stater Bros. will present donations totaling $25,000 to several local charities, including the Pasadena Police Department’s PAL League, the Foothill Unity Center and the Veterans Resource Center, according to the statement.
