Hardy Brown II has been president of the San Bernardino County Board of Education.
Brown, who was reelected last month for a four-year term, was made president Monday by a unanimous vote of his fellow board members, according to a statement.
He was sworn in along with new board members Ken Larson and Rita Fernandez-Loof. Brown represents Trustee Area D, which includes the districts of Rialto, San Bernardino and Snowline.
The five-member board meets on the first Monday of every month. It sets policy, adopts an annual budget, approves building plans and decides issues involving students and charter schools, according to the statement.
