Fulfillment center planned for Redlands

A company that moves goods that are purchased online will open a fulfillment center in Redlands.

Georgia-based Innotrac will open the facility early next month, according to a statement posted Tuesday on the company’s website.

“We’re excited about the growth Innotrac is experiencing,” said Glenn Furneaux, Innotrac’s vice president of human resources, in the statement. “Our Redlands facility is expected to create hundreds of jobs by the end of the year, and we’re looking forward to a long-lasting partnership with that community.”

Innotrac was founded in 1984 and is located near Atlanta. Its clients include Target, AT&T, Ann Taylor, Porsche and Ferrari, according to the website.

The company has 12 fulfillment centers – facilities that deliver goods to consumers the same day the items are ordered online – in Europe.

The statement did not give an exact job count or an address for the Redlands facility, which will be Innotrac’s first operation on the west coast. Innotrac officials could not be reached for comment.
