CVB Financial Corp., the holding company for Citizens Business Bank, is donating $355,900 to community organizations, mostly in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
The donations, which are being distributed now, will support food banks, economic development, and affordable housing in Southern and Central California, according to a statement.
“We have significantly increased our overall efforts to support the people and organizations in the communities we serve that need our support the most,” said David A. Brager, CVB Financial’s chief executive officer, in the statement. “Times are tough, and many nonprofits are in immediate need of funding after being affected by the recent downturn.
“We want to remind our communities that we will get through this together.”
Since its founding in 1975, Citizens Business Bank has helped more than 300 local nonprofits, through monetary donations and by volunteer work done by its employees, according to the statement.
