Jerome Rogers has been named Omnitrans’ director of safety and security.
A 15-year veteran of the safety field, including seven years in transit, Rogers will work immediately on the transit agency’s COVID-19 response team, according to a statement on the Omnitrans’ website.
Rogers will also be responsible for maintaining the agency’s safety and security programs.
“Omnitrans has no higher priority than the safety of its customers and employees, so this director position is crucial,” said Erin Rogers, Omnitran’s interim chief executive officer and general manager, in the statement.“Jerome’s expertise and leadership will keep our agency at the forefront of industry safety initiatives.”
Omnitrans is the largest public transit agency in San Bernardino County, covering approximately 480 miles, according to the agency’s website.
