A Shell service station and a Circle K convenience store in Bloomington have changed ownership.
The freestanding businesses at 2128 S. Riverside Ave. were sold for $6.2 million to a private investor in Riverside County who operates ARCO stations throughout California, according to Progressive Real Estate Partners in Rancho Cucamonga.
Progressive Real Estate represented the seller, a Corona-based private investor whose name was not released.
The 19-year-old service station has 20 fueling stations. The Circle K next door covers nearly 3,000 square feet and sells a variety of grocery items, including beer and wine. Both were included in the sale price.
The property, at South Riverside and Slover avenues, is next to Interstate 10.
“Demand for convenient, high volume gas stations with full service convenience stores in the Inland Empire continues to be very strong,” said Victor Buendia, a broker with Progressive Partners, in the statement. “Not only are they essential businesses, they are also the ultimate internet-resistant use. With the pandemic convenience stores have become increasingly popular for “to-go” food and grocery items.”
