County tweaks COVID-19 compliance program

San Bernardino County has made several changes to its Covid-Compliant Business Partnership Program, with more money for businesses and some changes to eligibility requirements.

A business or nonprofit with no more than 100 employees and that was in business before the start of 2020 is eligible to receive the funding, if they comply with California State health regulations, including safety and social distancing practices.

The amount available for these operations is $5,000 for a first location and $2,000 for each additional site. An additional $2,500 is available for any business that is moving its operations outdoors.

Businesses have until Dec. 13 to apply for the funding. Anyone who has already applied should expect to hear from county officials soon.

The partnership program supports small businesses in the county by reimbursing or offsetting costs related to complying with COVID-19  business regulations, according to the statement.
