Moreno Valley has designated its Employment Resource Center a comprehensive America’s Job Centers of California site.
The designation, the result of an agreement between the city and federal, state, and Riverside County officials, will provide Moreno Valley residents with more job-seeking and employment-recruitment services, according to a statement on the city’s website.
“Despite the pandemic, the City Council and I believe it’s important to keep the ERC open to the public,” said Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez in the statement. “Ours is one of the few Employment Resource Centers that have been open continuously since the pandemic started.”
Opened in 2009, the Employment Resource Center at 12625 Frederick St. has been a satellite office for the Riverside Jobs Center of California office. By changing to a full-service office, Moreno Valley residents will no longer have to go to Riverside for AJCC services.
The facility will be renamed the Moreno Valley Business and Employment Resource Center, an America’s Job Center of California, according to the statement.
