For the second time in six months, Ontario International Airport has been acknowledged for its customer service during COVID-19.
Ontario International recently received the “Voice of the Customer” award, which is given out by Airports Council International World, a leading trade association, according to a statement on the airport’s website.
The award recognizes airports that continued to “prioritize their customers and remained committed to ensuring that their voice was heard during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020,” the statement reads.
“For much of the past year, we have operated in unchartered territory, but our team of professionals adjusted course, connected with passengers and remained focused on delivering the first-rate airport experience our customers have come to expect,” said Mark Thorpe, Ontario International Airport Authority’s chief executive officer in the statement.
In January, the Montreal-based council gave Ontario International its Airport Health Accreditation, and in September the airport received ACI’s Customer Service Experience Accreditation.
