Assignment to Organize a Business Leads to a Dream Opportunity for Local Real Estate Professional

Alicia Snyder Celebrates One Year with Capital Income Properties Group

Alicia Snyder is celebrating her one year anniversary as V.P. of Operations for Capital Income Properties Group (CIPG) and she is thrilled to be back in the real estate industry.

But Alicia’s path was not a straight or easy one.  She is a tenacious individual that used her borderline obsession for order as a tool for her success.

“You might say I am borderline OCPD,” Snyder stated.

People diagnosed with OCPD – Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder show an unusual need for order and control in their environments.  Snyder actually turned what some people would consider a disorder into a strength even starting her own company focused on organizing other people lives and businesses.

“I was struggling and not happy with what I was doing professionally and a life-coach told me I should start a business organizing people and businesses and I did, and I loved it,” she said.

It was her organizing business, Everything in its Place, that got her introduced to Phil Bensinger the founder and owner of CIPG.  The business and Phil needed some help getting better organized and hired Snyder to do the job.

“A lot of the company’s processes were using outdated technology and I helped bring the company operations to a more organized and technologically advanced place,” said Snyder.

After watching her work and getting to know her better Bensinger decided to ask her to take a formal role at the company.

This was not Snyder’s first foray into the real estate world as she had worked at a mortgage company in the region for many years advancing from an executive assistant role to that of financial analyst.  Then with the crash of 2008 she was laid off in the final round of cuts the company had to make to survive.

At CIPG Snyder handles property marketing, financial reporting and all other back-office functions with Phil Bensinger handling sales and negotiations.

“I love what I am doing now and I am so grateful to Phil for the opportunity,” said Snyder.  “But I still want to help people organize, after all it’s my obsession.”
