Mt. San Jacinto College’s nursing program has been named the top curriculum of its kind in the Inland Empire by readers of The Press-Enterprise.
The MSJC program earned the top spot in the Best Community College/Nursing category in the newspaper’s 26th annual reader’s choice awards, according to a statement released by the school.
“We appreciate the readers’ recognition of our stellar nursing program,” said Joyce Johnson, provost of Mt. San Jacinto’s Temecula Valley Campus and a registered nurse, in the statement. “We’re very proud of our nursing graduates who consistently pass the licensing exam and secure jobs in the field. It’s a testament to our dedicated faculty and classified staff.”
The program offers an associate degree in nursing. All previous graduates who have participated in the occupational internship program have secured employment through their internship.
Mt. San Jacinto College serves about 27,000 students a year. In May, the school awarded 3,848 degrees and certificates to 2,173 graduates.
