Pomona Valley Health Center in La Verne has been sold for $24.6 million.
The facility, at 2317-2333 Foothill Blvd, covers nearly 40,000 square feet and is 100 percent leased, with the health center accounting for about 85 percent of the occupancy, according to a statement released by CBRE.
The seller was La Verne Venture I LLC, the buyer MMRE Acquisitions LLC. CBRE represented both parties.
“This sale is a proof of concept for the much-discussed ‘retailization of healthcare,’” said Chris Bodnar, vice chairman with CBRE and a member of the negotiating team, in a statement.
“The provider hand-selected this former big-box site [instead of] building a new facility in the market as it combined everything they wanted—access, convenience, amenities, signage and identity.”
The health center provides urgent care, primary care, radiology, and physical therapy from this location, which is three miles from its hospital campus.
So what will become of the Health Center? Will they close, change names, or did the owner of the actual building sell? Your article is somewhat confusing as to who or what actually sold.
Thank you
