Theresa Price, founder and chief executive officer of the National College Resources Foundation and the Black College Expo, will delver the keynote address at Chaffey College’s commencement ceremony.
During the past 20 years, Price has helped arrange more than $3 billion in scholarships and grants for underserved students who were trying to go to college, according to a statement on the school’s website.
”Through her work … our own students, and students all over the country, have been able to realize their dreams of going to college,” said Henry D. Shannon, Chaffey College president, in the statement. “It is an honor for Chaffey College to have Theresa Price serve as our keynote speaker.”
Chaffey will award more than 4,300 certificates and degrees to 2,600 graduates.
The ceremony is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. on May 18 at the Toyota Arena in Ontario.
