Temecula Valley Hospital has been recognized as one of the top U.S. hospitals for heart attack treatment.
The Temecula hospital recently received the American College of Cardiology’s NCDR Chest Pain ̶ MI Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award for 2023, according to a statement on the hospital’s website.
It is one of only 262 hospitals nationwide to receive that honor.
“Temecula Valley Hospital is honored to be recognized for our continued commitment to bringing outstanding cardiovascular care to the communities we serve,” said Darlene Wetton, the hospital’s chief executive officer in the statement. “The [award] demonstrates the hard work and dedication of our emergency and cardiac care teams.”
Temecula Valley Healthcare is part of Southwest Healthcare, a network of five acute care hospitals in Riverside County. Several non-hospital treatment centers, including the Riverside Medical Clinic, are also members, according to Southwest Healthcare’s website.
