Eight Inland Empire hospitals have been recognized by a national publication for their outstanding maternity care.
Riverside University Health System – Medical Center, Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, Corona Regional Medical Center, Loma Linda University Medical Center, Redlands Community Hospital, and Kaiser-Permanente medical centers in Ontario, Fontana, and Riverside were all listed by U.S. News & World Report.
Six hundred and eighty hospitals participated in the magazine’s 2024 Best Hospitals for Maternity Care survey, in the uncomplicated pregnancies category.
All were evaluated in multiple categories, including rates of C-sections in lower-risk pregnancies, newborn complications, birth-friendly practices, and transparency on racial/ethnic disparities.
“This achievement is a testament to the quality care our patients receive every day from our highly trained and dedicated team,” said Dr. Bryan Oshiro, Riverside University Health’s director of maternal-fetal medicine, in the statement “Our nurses, obstetricians, pharmacists, neonatologists, anesthesiologists and specialists are committed to ensuring a safe and healthy birth for our pregnant patients.”
