Brendon Biggs is stepping down as San Bernardino County’s public works director.
A county employee since 1991, Biggs has held several positions during that time, including supervising project design engineer, division chief of transportation planning, and deputy director of operations, according to a statement on the county’s website.
In 2019, Biggs oversaw the merger of public works with the special districts department, a move that led to his becoming public works director. He also acted as the county’s media spokesman during fires, floods, and other crises.
“Civil engineering changes people’s lives for the better, and I am proud to [have been] part of that change,” Biggs said in the statement.
Brendon, you have done a wonderful job and you will be rewarded with a long and happy retirement. Congratulations enjoy it and Merry Christmas to you and your family.
