A 32-unit townhouse project is under construction in Upland.
Towns on First is being developed at A and First streets near the Metrolink Station in the center of downtown, according to statement on the city’s website.
The detached townhomes will cover 1,100 to 1,600 square feet and will include a two-car garage. Prices were not disclosed, but five of the units will be reserved for low-income families.
The project, which is being developed by City Ventures, a statewide housing developer, is expected to have units ready for sale by next summer.
“This development is a fantastic addition to downtown Upland, bringing much-needed housing options to our community while preserving the charm and vibe that makes Upland unique,” Councilman Rudy Zuniga said in the statement. “We’re excited to see this project come to life and contribute to the ongoing revitalization of our downtown area.”
Probably more 4 bedroom two car housing that actually serves nobody for very long. It’s clearly about the developer/ builder to make money. Probably gas mello- roos to further tax the public
