Apple Valley Walmart gets new look

Apple Valley’s Walmart has reopened following a major renovation.

The store at 20251 CA-18 held a grand reopening Sept. 6, after upgrades that include a new layout, improved departments, an expanded pharmacy, a new mother’s room, and a mural celebrating Apple Valley’s history and culture, according to a statement.

Cost of the upgrades was not disclosed.

“We’re proud to unveil our remodeled store,” said Cherie Bradley, Apple Valley Store manager, in the statement. “We’re excited about the expanded grocery department and the new apparel available to customers in our clothing department.

“These upgrades will enhance the shopping experience and offer greater convenience to the Apple Valley community.”

During the reopening ceremony, store officials donated $3,000 to the Apple Valley Police Department, $2,500 to the Apple Valley Municipal Shelter, and $2,500 to Take Up Your Cross Inc., a support group for foster children.
