Perris has opened a skate park at Paragon Park.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Mayor Michael M. Vargas, City Manager Clara Miramontes and other city dignitaries was held Oct. 10, according to a statement on the city’s website.
The $2.2 million project covers 15,000 square feet and includes in-ground bowls and concrete street course features suitable for novice and expert skaters. This is the third park, along along with Goetz and Enchanted Hills parks, in Moreno Valley to have a skate facility.
“This is a great addition to the park,” City Manager Miramontes Clara Miriamontes said in the statement. “Our staff worked hard to generate input from the community to provide all of these great amenities.”
Paragon Park is at 264 Spectacular Bid St. Built in 1989, it has undergone several upgrades recently beside the skate park addition, including the revamping of the Motlag Fitness Court, according to the statement.
