UC Riverside has started an online platform that matches a student’s academic history and goals with the proper financial aid.
Scholarship Universe is a partnership between the university’s Office of Financial Aid, University Advancement and Information Technology Solutions, according to a statement on the university’s website.
The website – financialaid.ucr.edu – currently has access to more than 4,000 scholarships, which are reviewed by UC Riverside staff and faculty before being posted. The financial aid office expects to promote about 100 internal awards a year.
“This tool is a game changer,” said Monica Martinez-Daniels, UC Riverside’s financial aid scholarship manages, in the statement. “Students don’t have to spend time looking for scholarships, and it makes the application collection process so much easier for staff and faculty. The more UCR scholarships we can get in the system, the better it is for the student.”
