Raising Cane’s open in Perris

Raising Cane’s, the fast-food chain known for its chicken-fingers, has opened its first location in Perris.

The restaurant at 239 Old Nuevo Road opened April 15 with a series of giveaways and performances, including an appearance by the Perris High School Pep Squad and Folklorico Dance Team, according to a statement on the city’s website.

Raising Cane’s donated $1,000 each to Perris High School and the Southern California Railway Museum. The Baton Rouge, La.-based chain typically makes donations like that when it opens a restaurant as a way of strengthening its ties to the local community.

“We’re excited to welcome Raising Cane’s to the Perris community,” said Clara Miramontes. Perris city manager, in the statement. “Their investment reflects Perris’ growth, and the value we place on attracting businesses that engage with and give back to our residents.”

The restaurant is open from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday, and from 9 a.m. to 3:30 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.
