Ontario International Airport handled 674,413 passengers in July, a 1.2 percent month-over-month decline.
During the first seven months of 2026, Ontario International served 4,085,992 air travelers, 1.3 percent more than the first seven months of 2025, according to the Ontario International Airport Authority.
International travelers by the end of July totaled 403,385, a 36.9 percent year-over-year increase.
“More than 4 million passengers have already traveled through Ontario International this year, and our international passenger volume is up nearly 37% at a time when international travel to the U.S. is facing significant headwinds,” said Atif Elkadi, the authority’s chief executive officer, in the statement. “That kind of growth speaks to the strength of our region.”
Southwest Airlines was the busiest airline at Ontario International last month, handling 34.4 percent of the traffic count. American Airlines (14.8 percent), Frontier Airlines (11.9 percent), Alaska Airlines (11.1 percent), and Delta Airlines (9.4 percent), completed the top five.
Freight and mail totaled 75,222 tons, a 3.5 percent increase compared with July 2025, the airport authority reported.
