An Inland accounting firm has merged with an accounting firm based in Irvine.
Riverside-based Robert J. Casillas Accountancy Corp. joined forces with Ramirez Jiminez International, effective Jan. 1, said Robert J. Casillas, founder of the local accounting firm and partner-in-charge of the new operation.
The merger, which was announced earlier this week, took about seven months to complete. Casillas Accountancy, which has been in business for nearly 20 years, will expand from five employees to about 30, Casillas said.
“We feel like it’s a good fit,” Casillas said of the new firm, which will specialize in tax compliance and helping start-up businesses. “It will definitely help us become better know in the Inland Empire, and it’s a chance to do something new.”
