Attorneys for Los Angeles are asking a Riverside County Superior Court judge to reconsider her order requiring the city to give Ontario nearly 400
documents pertaining to Ontario’s lawsuit that seeks control of Ontario International Airport.
Judge Gloria Connor Trask issued the order Friday after both sides agreed to the exact wording of the agreement, according to a report in The Press-Enterprise.
But the attorneys for the city of Los Angeles, the airport’s owner and operator, are now having second thoughts about that agreement. They want Trask to either reverse the order or postpone it while they file a formal appeal.
The documents are among an estimated 2,000 papers Trask ordered in December to be handed over by Los Angeles to Ontario.
Passenger traffic has dropped dramatically at Ontario International during the last five years. Ontario officials have accused Los Angeles of neglecting Ontario International for the sake of Los Angeles International Airport, which Los Angeles also owns.
