Ted White has been named Riverside’s city planner.
White, who spent 18 years working in the Anaheim Planning Department, will oversee all aspects of planning and will report to Rafael Guzman, director of community and economic development, according to a release.
White is expected to expand and simplify Riverside’s use of technology in the planning process, specifically its ePlan Review, which allows developers and contractors to complete their plan checks online.
Eventually, the city hopes to be able to complete all planning-related tasks online.
“Ted White has a proven record as an innovator and as a leader in making the development review process more user-friendly,” Guzman said in the release. “I look forward to him helping us become an even more customer-centered organization.”
