Sarah Manwaring has taken over as Menifee’s city clerk.
Manwaring was welcomed by city staff and council members during the Nov. 4 council meeting, according to a city statement.
She replaces Kathy Bennett, who will retire Friday following a 25-year career.
Manwaring most recently served as Murrieta’s city clerk, where she served as the city’s election official and prepared meeting agendas and city council packets.
Before that, she was assistant city clerk in Canyon Lake, and she is currently program chair of the Southern California Clerks Association.
“I am thrilled to be working with the city of Menifee team,” Manwaring said. “With Menifee being a relatively new city, I see great opportunities to make an impact in the organization and within the community as the city continues to grow and mature.”
