San Bernardino County is asking county residents and other “community stakeholders” to help it put together a countywide plan that the board of supervisors will use to establish priorities, evaluate development projects and make budget decisions.
Public input will be gathered at both the community and county level through workshops, community meetings and at the project’s website, countywideplan.com, according to a statement.
Most of the information-gathering will be done this year, although some of that effort is expected to extend into 2017 and 2018. San Bernardino County has spent the past six months conducting a pilot program in Bloomington.
The Countywide Plan outreach program will build on similar information-gathering efforts conducted by the county during the past five years, but it will be the first time the county has tried to put together so comprehensive a document.
