Add Target to the list of major retailers that will be open Thanksgiving Day.
The Minneapolis-based discount chain has announced it will open at 8 p.m. on Nov. 28, one hour earlier than it opened in 2012, according to an Associated Press report.
The day after Thanksgiving, dubbed “Black Friday” because its the day many retailers hope to turn a profit for the year, is the traditional start of theChristmas shopping season.
Target will also offer online discounts Thanksgiving morning, and it will feature 15 daily discounts offered only online for two weeks starting Nov. 24, according to the report.
Macy’s, JCPenney and Kohl’s have also announced that they will be open on Thanksgiving this year.
