The 10th Annual San Bernardino County Water Conference, scheduled to be held Friday, will be a look backward and a look forward.
Panelists and speakers will discuss the drought and other water-related issues facing the Inland Empire, but they’ll also examine the past nine years and how well the region has managed its water supply during that time.
This year’s conference is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. with a networking breakfast, followed by the conference from 8 a.m. to noon, at the Ontario Convention Center.
Along with the looking-back session, panel discussions will examine how to train the next generation for water careers, the unintended consequences of today’s conservation efforts and how to communicate with the public about water issues.
More than 20 local private and public entities, including Toro, the city of Ontario, Western Municipal Water District, Inland Empire Utilities Agency and Orco Block & Hardscape are sponsoring this year’s session.
San Bernardino County and the flood control district are the conference’s platinum sponsors, and the Baldy View Chapter of the Building Industry Association of Southern California will be the presenting sponsor.
